Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd took a swipe at a leading magazine today after it published paparazzi shots of his wife exercising in the gym.
Rudd said his wife, Therese Rein, was looking "terrific" but questioned why "Women's Day" had chosen to use pictures taken without her consent.

"I think most women in Australia would feel that they should have some privacy when they go to the gym," he said. The weekly glossy published the pictures in a story entitled "How She Lost 25kg," saying Rein was "fast becoming the first lady of health and fitness."
Rudd said his wife, a successful businesswoman, was in training to climb Africa's highest peak Mount Kilimanjaro, "so good on her."

"Look, if Women's Day want to take photos through the window, matter for them I suppose," he said. "Others will form their judgments of that but I think most Australian women at the gym would expect that they have a bit of privacy when they're doing their exercise routine."
