Naamen Maziche, a French national and a senior member of terror outfit Al Qaeda, has been arrested near Pakistan's border with Iran, Xinhua reported Wednesday.
Pakistani military sources, however, did not say when the terrorist was arrested.

The arrested man is a close associate of Younis al Mauritan, who was appointed by slain leader Osama bin Laden as commander of operations in Africa, according to military sources.
Al Mauritan and three of his associates were arrested in Quetta city last year.
After al Mauritan's arrest, Maziche fled to Iran, the military sources said.
