Lady Gaga has won a court battle to stop popular children's website Moshi Monsters releasing a single by a cartoon character called Lady Goo Goo.
The US star has taken the creators of popular kid' website Moshi Monster's to court over its music plans and effectively gagged them.
She was furious that one of the Moshi characters called Lady Goo Goo was to have a single released called the Moshi Dance.
But High Court judge Justice Vos came down against Moshi creators Mind Candy and in favour of the singer in a day-long court hearing.
He granted an injunction preventing Mind Candy from 'promoting, advertising, selling, distributing or otherwise making available to the public The Moshi Dance or any musical work or video which purports to be performed by a character by the name of Lady Goo Goo, or which otherwise uses the name Lady Goo Goo or any variant thereon'.
Gaga's lawyers banned the song, claiming that kids might not be able to tell the two apart, despite Mind Candy's claims of obvious differences between them.
Moshi Monsters website has 50 million users worldwide and is a hugely successful UK company. Lady Goo Goo is one of 52 Moshi Monsters characters.
Michael Acton Smith, founder and CEO of Mind Candy and creator of Moshi Monsters said, "This court ruling is a huge disappointment.
The shame is that millions of kids fell in love with Lady Goo Goo's debut singleu00a0 and now won't be able to enjoy her musical exploits.

It was all done in the name of fun and we would have thought that Lady Gaga could have seen the humour."
