A gorgeous geek has caused an Internet sensation after claiming she wants to wed her laptop. Hermione Way (24) posted a video about her love for the 17 inch MacBook Pro -- Alex -- on YouTube. It has been watched around the world from America to the Middle East.
In the film, the technology entrepreneur is seen taking Alex on a protest outside the House of Commons. There, using typed text-to-voice converting software, the machine can be heard speaking as 'he' demands the legalisation of computer to human marriages.
Hermione says it is only fair Brits should be allowed to marry their technology, in the same way civil partnerships for homosexuals are now legal in the UK. The film adds the pair are due to exchange 'vows' on January 31 and have not spent a day apart in two years. Even Hermione's mum appears in the film to give her blessing.
The "bride-to-be" said, "We spend every minute together and as long as it's not hurting anyone, why shouldn't you be allowed to be happy?... We spend a lot of time together in my bed. He's one heck of a machine and his hard drive works perfectly."
Many comments posted on YouTube voiced their support for the idea.
