Rome: A court in Rome on Tuesday gave a suspended 18 month prison sentence to Italian movie star Raoul Bova for tax evasion.
The 45-year-old heart-throb and star of many Italian box office blockbusters dodged almost 700,000 euros of tax between 2005 and 2011 according to prosecutors.
The prosecutors accused Bova of "making fraudulent tax returns". Bova's lawyer said she was "certain" that the sentence would be overturned on appeal.
