The Duchess of Cambridge has delighted young cancer patient Fabian Bate by sending him a moving personal message of support.
She had promised to write some words on the nine-year-old's blog after he told her about his leukaemia. But caring Kate went one better - and sent the lad a letter to his home.
Keeping her promise: During her visit to Royal Marsden Hospital,
Catherine was touched by 9-year-old Fabian's battle with cancer and
assured him that she would write on his blog. A month later, she kept
her vow and sent him a perosnalised message that has touched
Fabian's family.

She wrote, "I was so touched by your strength of character. I will keep my fingers crossed that your health goes from strength to strength."
Kate met Fabian with Prince William at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London.
The lad was thrilled when he read her letter, which is signed Catherine. Dad Darrell said: "She really personalised it and obviously remembered him."
