This conundrum is the exact position that Kate Middleton's parents are facing as their daughter prepares to marry Prince William on April 29, which is leading to a bit of a break in royal tradition.

A senior aide at the St James Palace said Kate Middleton's parents are breaking the Palace tradition and are set on giving a 6-figure contribution for their daughter's highly anticipated Royal Wedding."It is something they absolutely wanted to do, and William graciously accepted," a source was quoted as telling Vanity Fair.
Kate's parents, Carole and Michael, used to work for the airline industry for years before they founded Party Pieces, a party supply company. The wedding will reportedly cost $10 million (R45 crore).

Kate's parents have played a big role on how she has grown up to be a nice lady that she is now."Kate's feet are still on the ground, largely because of Michael," according to a friend of the Middleton family, adding, "He doesn't get too swept up in the grandeur of her new life, and Kate loves him for that."

Meanwhile, William and Kate have decided that two choirs, one orchestra and a fanfare team will perform at their wedding on April 29. The couple are said to have taken a "great deal of interest and care" in choosing The Choir of Westminster Abbey, The Chapel Royal Choir, The London Chamber Orchestra and The Fanfare Team from the Central Band of the Royal Air Force to perform at their nuptials.
