Dressed informally in a bomber jacket and an open-necked shirt, he told his troops that the US is in Afghanistan to help forge hard-won peace, and will be less secure if the Taliban retakes control. Obama left Afghanistan for home on this morning after a six-hour visit to the war-torn Asian country.
