It seems that Prince Harry is trying to patch up with Chelsy Davy -- the third-in-line to the British throne has reportedly gifted a diamond bracelet to his former girlfriend for Christmas.

According to 'The Sun', 26-year-old Harry gave the 25-year-old Zimbabwean blonde the 1,000-pound diamond bracelet and had even telephoned her on Christmas morning. A source close to Davy said she was "surprised and delighted" at the white gold gift -- and wondering if there was a future for their six-year romance, which finally ended last September.

"Harry's kindness made her think about whether they made the right decision in calling it a day. They're both finding it especially difficult being apart at Christmas. In previous years they spent time together," the source added. Davy is on holiday in Mauritius but will join pals in her Zimbabwe homeland for New Year.

In the past, Harry spent Christmas with the Royals, then flew on Boxing Day to see her. The source said: "Harry and Chelsy are still trying to work out whether or not they have a future. They will always care for one another. They don't talk as often as they used to -- I think he's giving her space to decide whether she wants a future with him."

A Royal spokeswoman has declined to comment.
