A woman has sued Starbucks cafe chain in the US for serving "unreasonably hot" tea to her. She claims the tea caused her second-degree burns.

Zeynep Inanli, who was served tea at a Starbucks outlet on Third Avenue in Manhattan, claims she suffered "great physical pain and mental anguish" as well as the burns after consuming the Tea.In her claim for unspecified damages in a New York court, she said she was served tea that was "unreasonably hot, in containers which were not safe".

Starbucks has not yet responded publicly to the lawsuit.Starbucks has faced been similar lawsuits earlier.
