According to thesun.co.uk, the 48-year-old Scottish singing sensation, who lost the talent show, spent some time in a Central London studio with producers from Sony Music. The songs are set to be "musical themed" since Boyle loves stage shows.
"Wednesday was Susan's first day as a recording artist andu00a0she had a brilliant time. She talked about what songs she wanted for the album... it's going to be a case of trying to pin her down to her favourite ten or so," said a source.
Legendary singer Elaine Paige is Boyle's idol and is lined up to sing a duet with her for the album.
Boyle's rendition of "I Dreamed A Dream" from the musical "Les Miserables" on the reality show turned her into a global phenomenon with celebrity fans including the actress Demi Moore.
