Dr Arie Oren, 64, has been accused of telling one of his patients she would slim down if she had sex with him, and another she could burn 200 calories by having an orgasm.
Prosecutors said half a dozen women claim the Israeli-born doctor sexually assaulted them at his Conshohocken Weight Control clinic in Pennsylvania.
The women, aged between 24 and 59, claim Oren asked them to take their clothes off before he gave them what he called "fat-busting" massages with his hands and electronic devices.
On one occasion he told a woman she was getting "an extra-special treat for losing all the weight" before using a massager around her genital area.
And he told another "if you need a man, I'm a man" before allegedly assaulting her.
In one case, a patient stormed out of his office in 2008 after the doctor allegedly touched her genitals. He called after her saying: "This visit is on the house because you're so hot."
"A patient goes to a doctor for help. A patient looks to a doctor as someone that he or she can trust, and can trust with the exposing of the body," the Daily Mail quoted Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman as saying.
"So, for a woman to go to a doctor like this looking for help with weight loss, which is such a personal matter, and to then have the doctor touch her sexually, touch her inappropriately, and even try to kiss her and to make such personal comments, is really a complete betrayal of what the doctor is supposed to be doing," she said.
Police began investigating the doctor in September after a "visibly upset" 39-year-old woman told them Oren had touched her inappropriately and sexually assaulted her with a massaging device during an examination.
Five other women came forward to report "eerily similar" alleged incidents.
Oren has been charged with four counts of aggravated indecent assault and eight counts of indecent assault.
He was released on 100,000 dollars bail after appearing before Judge Francis J. Bernhardt at Conshohocken District Court.
