Mad world: TikToker makes sapno ka ghar inside cubicle; woman says toy plane her soul mate

Simon Jackson, 28, has been garnering views on a video he posted on Tik Tok about turning his work cubicle into home. Pics/Tik Tok

Chibuzor Ejimofor, who uses the name Simon Jackson professionally, made a now-viral video of himself living in his work cubicle, claiming it was a form of “protest” since he wasn’t paid “enough”. The video has earned over 12 million views, but in a follow-up video, Jackson revealed he was allegedly fired from his job at the design and engineering consultancy firm Arcadis.

In his initial viral video titled “Check out my new [apartment]”—the 28-year-old filmed himself setting up his desk with his clothes, toiletries and other personal belongings. “I am moving from my apartment into my cubicle at work,” he declared in the voiceover. “They do not pay me enough to do both, so as a matter of protest, I am just going to live at my job, and we’ll see how long I can get away with this.”

After setting up his mini pad at Arcadis’ downtown Seattle office, his stunt ultimately went awry when his employer forced him to leave four days later. But Jackson said that while it was a “protest,” it was also a matter of timing that inspired him to live at work. He said he had to move out of his apartment because his lease was ending and the rent was going up.

Since he was in a rush to move, no apartments had accepted his application in time. “[The apartments] were too expensive anyway, and I was denied a performance review by my employer,” he claimed, which would have offered him a potential raise. He also noted that his stay at Chez Office would have “lasted indefinitely” if only he hadn’t posted videos about it.

A woman from Hungary is madly in love with her toy plane; says she has found her soul mate

Sandra, a 28-year-old woman from Hungary, claims to have shunned romantic relationships with other humans to be with a toy plane that she has fallen madly in love with.

Sandra has had a thing for airplanes for as long as she can remember, and that fascination stayed with her all through her teenage years. As an adult, she managed to get a job in the aviation industry so that she could be surrounded by planes every day. But it wasn’t until she met “Luffancs,” a plastic plane model, that she realised she could become romantically involved with a plane.

In January, Sandra bought the toy plane for around $660, and allegedly fell madly in love with it. “I don’t know why I love him, I just love him,” the woman from Budapest said. “He’s beautiful and my soulmate. He is the first thing I see in the mornings and the last thing when I go to sleep. I wouldn’t have it any other way. I get to do everything with him.”

“My big love is LX-UCV [plane model] at the airport, but work is work, I just do everything at home. The most I do with other planes at work is just touch and blow a kiss” she added.

Pedicure for chicken feet

A woman in Shanghai, China, made her pet rooster somewhat of an overnight internet sensation after doing its manicure and posting photos of it online. Yi Yi, a chicken owner from Shanghai, recently decided that her beloved pet’s nails needed some attention, so she took the bird to a nail salon.  However, the staff there refused to do its nails for fear that it would affect the image of the salon among human clients, so the woman ended up doing the chicken’s nails herself. It took more than an hour, but at least the bird’s feet ended up looking fabulous.
