A tragic bus accident occurred near Gholtir in Uttarakhand’s Rudraprayag district on June 26, when an 18-seater bus plunged into the Alaknanda River. The crash killed three people and injured several others. Two critically injured victims were airlifted to AIIMS Rishikesh for treatment. The bus carried passengers from Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Haridwar. Rescue operations are ongoing

IAF`s transport aircraft Chinook carrying 41 workers took off from Chinyalisaur Hospital on Nov 29. The workers have been shifted from Chinyalisaur Hospital to AIIMS Rishikesh for further treatment carrying 41 rescued workers, IAF`s transport aircraft Chinook reached AIIMS Rishikesh. Workers will be kept under the supervision of expert doctors for a final checkup at AIIMS. 41 stranded workers were rescued from the Silkyara tunnel in Uttarkashi on November 28. After Uttarkashi Tunnel Rescue, workers were shifted to the Community Health Centre in Chinyalisaur for primary treatment. Workers were trapped inside Uttarakhand`s Silkyara tunnel in Uttarkashi since November 12.
