Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, along with Deputy Chief Ministers Ajit Pawar and Eknath Shinde, flagged off the trial run of Mumbai Metro Line 9, connecting Kashigaon to Dahisar East. This new line is expected to be a game-changer for commuters in Mira-Bhayandar and North Mumbai. In a first for the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), a double-chamber bridge has been introduced, integrating metro and suburban rail services within a single structure. Metro Line 9 is a key component of the broader Maha Mumbai Metro plan, which aims to seamlessly connect all metro routes by 2027.

There has been a significant upgrade in Mumbai’s infrastructure in the recent times and a brand new RO-RO ferry survive is the latest addition. A new Vasai-Bhayandar Ro-Ro ferry service will be running on a regular basis from 21st February between Vasai and Bhayandar that is going to cut down the commute time between the two destinations to 15 minutes. This is the second RoRo service in the MMR. The first one operates on the Ferry Wharf and Mandwa route. The newly-inaugurated service will ply eight times a day.
