Indian High Commissioner to the UK, Vikram Doraiswami was stopped from entering a Gurdwara in Glasgow, Scotland. After this Glasgow Gurdwara incident, the Indian authorities raised this issue with the UK Foreign Office and the police. A video of the incident went viral on the internet, where a man can be seen blocking Doraiswami from entering the Gurdwara. Now, the Glasgow Gurdwara authorities have condemned the incident. Gurdwara’s Gen Secy Prabhjot Kaur said that they welcome everyone openly to the Gurdwara.

Indian envoy stopped from entering Glasgow Gurdwara

Amid row between India and Canada over killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Nijjar, Indian diplomat was heckled in Scotland. Indian High Commissioner to the UK Vikram Doraiswami was prevented from entering a Gurudwara in Glasgow. A video has been doing rounds on social media where a man was seen blocking Doraiswami from entering the Glasgow Gurudwara. Instead of getting into an argument, the Indian High Commissioner decided to leave in his car. The issue has been raised with the UK Foreign Office and also the police, according to sources. Sharply reacting to the incident, Sikh leaders from BJP slammed the pro-Khalistanis and said that anyone can enter a Gurdwara. This is not the first time that an Indian diplomat has faced such misbehavior. Earlier this year as well, Indian diplomats in Canada and UK have been openly threatened. UK High Commission was vandalized by Khalistani radicals in London in March. Notably, UK PM Rishi Sunak during his visit to India for G20 said he won’t tolerate extremism in the country
