Lucknow building collapse: Tragic incident kills 4, Many feared trapped - WATCH

On September 7, a building collapsed in Transport Nagar, Lucknow, causing several people to be trapped inside. Emergency teams, including the police, NDRF, SDRF, and the fire brigade, quickly arrived at the scene to begin rescue operations. So far, 13 people have been rescued, with four sent to the hospital. Unfortunately, one person has been reported dead. The exact number of people still trapped is not yet clear, but rescue efforts continue. Municipal Commissioner Indrajit Singh and District Magistrate Suryapal Gangwar have both confirmed the ongoing efforts and the presence of one more person feared to be trapped. The cause of the Lucknow building collapse is still under investigation.

These trains have provided connectivity to important religious places in the country. The Temple City of Madurai is now directly connected to the IT City of Bengaluru via Vande Bharat. This train will also prove beneficial for pilgrims," reported ANI.

Agra-Lucknow expressway bus accident: Tragic kills 7 people, Many Injured

On August 4th, seven people were killed in a tragic collision between a double-decker bus and a car on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway. Survivors of the accident said that they were asleep at the time and do not recall the events leading up to the crash. The injured in the Agra-Lucknow expressway bus accident have been taken to Saifai Medical College for treatment. Dr. Vivek Chaudhary, Chief Medical Officer at the college, reported that the accident occurred after midnight. Approximately 50 people were brought to the hospital, with 6 to 7 of them in critical condition. The medical team is currently working to provide care for all the injured. Watch the video for more.

IAF’s Wing Commander Shubhanshu Shukla is prime astronaut for Indo-US mission

IAF’s Wing Commander Shubhanshu Shukla has been announced as the prime astronaut for the Indo-US space mission. He will be only the second Indian after Rakesh Sharma to be part of a space mission. Mission paved its way after PM Modi, Joe Biden signed a joint statement in June 2023, envisioning a joint ISRO-NASA effort to the ISS. A National Mission Assignment Board has recommended two 'Gaganyatris' as the prime, backup Mission Pilots for this mission. These include Group Capt. Shubhanshu Shukla (Prime), Group Captain Prasanth Balakrishnan Nair (Backup). The recommended 'Gaganyatris' will commence their training for the mission in the first week of August, informed ISRO. Notably, PM Modi bestowed astronaut wings upon Shubhanshu Shukla after his name was revealed for the Gaganyaan Mission on Feb 27, 2024. The Gaganyaan Mission is India’s first human space flight program, for which extensive preparations are underway at various ISRO centers. Apart from Wing Commander Shubhanshu, Group Capt Prashanth Nair, Ajit Krishnan, Angad Pratap Shukla will also join mission.

Unnao Bus Tragedy: Bus rams into milk tanker on Lucknow-Agra expressway, 18 dead

In tragic incident on July 10, 18 people lost their lives and 19 sustained injuries when a double-decker bus traveling from Sitamarhi, Bihar to Delhi collided with a milk tanker on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh. The collision occurred around 5:15 AM near the Behtamujawar PS area. Upon receiving the alert, police swiftly responded, rescuing the injured and transferring them to CHC Bangarmau for medical treatment.  Bangarmau CO Arvind Chaurasia confirmed that 22 other passengers who were unharmed are being transported to Delhi via another bus. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed deep sorrow over the Unnao bus accident incident and extended condolences to the families of the deceased. He has instructed officials to provide immediate relief and support to those affected.
