In a tragic incident in Malad East, two workers lost their lives and two others got injured after a portion of a building slab collapsed on 5th September, Thursday. The Malad building collapse happened around 12:10 pm. The construction was underway at the Navjeewan building in the Govind Nagar area. Emergency services quickly responded to the scene, and the injured workers were rushed to M W Desai Hospital. Sadly, doctors confirmed the deaths of two of the injured workers. The condition of the other two workers is still being monitored. The incident was reported to the BMC's 1916 toll-free number. The visuals of the deadly collapse shows the immense damage at the accident site. Watch viodo for more.

Known as the "Black Mama" of the Indian western music industry, Malad-based Keshia B has built an audience for her deep, soulful voice. Christmas in Mumbai, her R&B soul single, is her debut original song which she released last year in December. The 32-year- old who has been a part of church choirs and carol singing groups in her area. "But when you listen to the song," she says, "it talks about how it was to live in Mumbai during the pandemic, how people have changed and what it means to celebrate a festival now. The essence of this song was to bring forth the message of kindness, love and hope.

Mumbai is all set for Ganeshotsav 2022 without Covid-19 imposed restrictions after two years. Ganpati idols were carried by devotees during processions ahead of the festival in the city. This year, the BMC waived off all restrictions on height for private and sarvajanik idols. Ganesh Chaturthi will be celebrated on 31st August this year.
