Meerut building collapse: Death toll reaches to 10, Rescue operation continues

On September 15, the death toll from the Meerut building collapse rose to 10. The collapse happened in Zakir Colony, where a multi-story building fell down, trapping many people under the rubble. Although all known survivors have been rescued, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) are still searching to make sure no one is left trapped. They are using sniffer dogs to help find any remaining signs of life. Rescue teams are carefully going through the debris to check every possible spot where someone might be. They are determined to be thorough and precise, making sure they do everything they can to find any additional survivors. The rescue efforts will continue until there is no chance of finding more people alive.

Meerut building collapse: Tragic incident claims 3 lives, Several trapped

On September 15, a building collapse resulted in three fatalities and left six people trapped under the debris, according to District Magistrate Deepak Meena. Rescue efforts are underway with teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) on Meerut building collapse site, though heavy rain is complicating their work. Deepak Meena, the district magistrate, said that that out of the 14 people initially trapped, eight have been rescued so far. However, three of these rescued individuals have unfortunately died. The remaining six people are still stuck in the rubble. Rescue teams are prioritizing saving these last trapped individuals and continuing their search and recovery operations despite the challenging weather conditions.

Delhi-Meerut Expressway accident: Six dead as school bus collides with an SUV

Six people lost lives after the SUV they were travelling in collided with a school bus in Ghaziabad’s Crossing Republic area on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway early Tuesday. According to the police the deceased, including two children, two men, and two women, were from the same family and were residents of Meerut. Two other people, who were also in the SUV, were admitted to a hospital in a serious condition, the police said. The driver of the school bus, who was driving on the wrong side of the road, has been arrested.
