The ceremony was marked by traditional Hindu rituals, including the lighting of lamps, offering of flowers, and chanting of sacred hymns. Devendra Fadnavis and Eknath Shinde paid their respects to Shivaji Maharaj by participating in the puja with reverence, underscoring the enduring legacy and cultural significance of the 17th-century king, who is widely revered across Maharashtra and India for his valor, leadership, and contributions to nation-building.

A canopy collapsed at Rajkot Airport terminal on June 29 following heavy rains in the city. As per Civil Aviation Ministry, the incident took place during maintenance work. No casualties or injuries have been reported so far and a detailed report into the matter has been sought. This has happened a day after canopy collapsed at Delhi T-1 Airport on June 28. On June 28, the canopy of Delhi IGI Airport T-1 collapsed following heavy rain that killed 1 and injured 6 people. Notably, IMD has predicted moderate to heavy rain for next 7 days for both Delhi and Rajkot.
