Reliance Industries and Reliance Foundation on Feb 26 announced the launch of ‘Vantara’ programme, an umbrella initiative to focus on rescue, treatment, care and rehabilitation of injured, abused and threatened animals, both in India and abroad. Spread over 3000 acres within the Green Belt of Reliance`s Jamnagar Refinery Complex in Gujarat, ‘Vantara’ aims to be one of the leading contributors to conservation efforts globally.The Vantara initiative, the first of its kind in India, has been conceptualized and birthed under the passionate leadership of Anant Ambani, Director on the boards of RIL and Reliance Foundation. Addressing the press conference, Anant Ambani spoke on his new initiative for animal rescue. Anant said that for this initiative he drew inspiration from his mother.

Reliance Jio, on Monday, announced the launch of its new AirFiber services. With this, the company plans to provide 1,50,000 connections per day. The company claims to expand Jio`s network to over 200 million users. The company claims that it has around 10 million JioFiber customers and the network is spread across 1.5 million kms. He also announced that India will be full of “self-confidence" and become a “fully developed nation by 2047". "New Reliance has been a forerunner of the emerging new India. We have set seemingly impossible goals and achieved them", Ambani added.
