Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita Bills: Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur’s fiery speech

While speaking on Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita Bills 2023 in Lok Sabha, BJP MP Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur on December 20 supported the Bills and made a fiery speech in the Parliament. She also lambasted Congress and opposition leaders for opposing the Bills. The Bharatiya Nyaya (Second) Sanhita bill seeks to replace the Indian Penal Code (IPC), 1860, which is the principal law on criminal offence in India. The new bill adds community service as a form of punishment. The Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha (Second) Sanhita, 2023 seeks to replace the Criminal Procedure Code, 1973 (CrPC). The CrPC provides for the procedure for arrest, prosecution, and bail. The Bharatiya Sakshya (Second) Bill, 2023 (BSB2) replaces the Indian Evidence Act, 1872.

‘Keep Weapons In Your Home’, Sadhvi Pragya To Hindus, Kanhaiya Kumar Responds

BJP Member of Parliament Pragya Singh Thakur urged the Hindu community to keep sharp-edged weapons at their homes in order to protect themselves. The BJP leader said that Hindus have the right to respond to those who attack them and their dignity. The MP from Bhopal said that people should at least keep knives. She said, "Keep weapons in your homes, if nothing else, at least knives used to cut vegetables, sharp. Don't know what situation will arise when. Everyone has the right to self-protection. If someone infiltrates our house and attacks us, giving a befitting replay is our right." She was speaking at the Hindu Jagarana Vedike's South Region annual convention, which was held at Shivamogga in Karnataka on Sunday. Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar lashed out at BJP MP Pragya Thakur's statement while addressing the party's 138th foundation day in Mumbai. He said, "The one who is a sanyasi will not talk about hatred and the one who talks about hatred cannot be a sanyasi"

Sadhvi Pragya Warned the makers of Pathaan. She said, ''If any one insults saffron, we will give them a befitting reply.' Soon after the release of the first song of the film 'Besharam Rang', the hashtag Boycott Pathan started trending on Twitter. Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan's sizzling chemistry in the song has caught everyone's attention and is being appreciated. But amid this, a boycott trend has started on social media. Following the controversy, Madhya Pradesh home minister Narottam Mishra slammed the makers for the use of saffron costumes in the film. He also said that the film contains some objectionable scenes, and threatened to ban Pathaan in Madhya Pradesh if those shots are not replaced.
