Hailing Rahul Gandhi on his Bharat Jodo Yatra, Congress veteran leader Salman Khurshid said that Gandhi is “like a yogi doing his 'tapasya' with focus”. Linking Congress to 'Bharat' and Rahul Gandhi to 'Lord Ram', Khurshid said, "Rahul Gandhi is superhuman. While we are freezing in the cold and wearing jackets, he is going out in T-Shirts (for his Bharat Jodo Yatra). He is like a yogi doing his 'tapasya' with focus," he said. Several Hindu sages have objected to this statement. They challenged him to chant a single shloka, and assured that he would not know any. The sages also questioned Rahul Gandhi’s comments on Veer Savarkar.

As Law Minister Salman Khurshid held a dramatic press conference showing pictures and documents of camps held by his NGO as proof that allegations against him are baseless, activist-turned-politician Arvind Kejriwal continued his attack against Mr Khurshid by questioning the 'evidence' produced by the Law Minister. Rookie politician Arvind Kejriwal has said that Salman Khurshid's remarks against him are gravely inappropriate for the Law Minister. "Mr Salman Khurshid has threatened me in language that is unbecoming of the Law Minister's post," he tweeted this afternoon. Another dramatic post declared, "Even if I am killed, 100 Arvinds will replace me because India is determined to combat graft." Mr Kejriwal later said, "My life is in God's hands, not Khurshid's."
