SAD leader Bikram Singh Majithia strongly criticized the AAP government in Punjab over the attack on Sukhbir Singh Badal at the Golden Temple in Amritsar earlier today. He revealed alarming connections between the assailant, Narain Singh Chaura, and Congress. Majithia claimed that Chaura, a man with over 30 criminal cases against him, had been in the area for three days. Despite police claims of security, he was seen repeatedly approaching Badal. Majithia shared videos showing Chaura conducting surveillance in recent days. He further revealed that Chaura is the son of Channan Singh Chaura, whose other son, Narender Singh Bajwa, is closely associated with criminal Sukhi Randhawa. Majithia alleged that this family has ties to Congress, especially when the party is in power.

Arvind Kejriwal, AAP`s national convenor, condemned the attempted shooting of former Deputy CM Sukhbir Badal in Punjab, praising the Punjab Police for preventing a major incident. He expressed concerns that a larger conspiracy is at play to destabilize Punjab and defame its people, involving powerful forces. Kejriwal contrasted Punjab`s effective law and order with the crime situation in Delhi, highlighting rampant murders, shootouts, gangster control, drug sales, and rapes. He criticized the BJP for downplaying the severity of Delhi`s crime issue, asserting that law and order in the capital is indeed a significant problem. Kejriwal emphasized the need for strong law enforcement to address these issues.
