Pragya Singh Thakur and Colonel Prasad Purohit appeared before the sessions court in Mumbai on Saturday to complete her surety formalities following their acquittal in the 2008 Malegaon blast case. The NIA Court had acquitted the duo and five others in the 17-year-old case, noting that the prosecution had not adduced cogent and reliable evidence to warrant conviction and to prove the case beyond reasonable doubt.
