In an exclusive interview with Mid-day.com, ace choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant spoke about the criticism the song Besharam Rang, the hit song from Pathaan featuring Deepika Padukone, received. Vaibhavi spoke about changing times in Bollywood and how each song or genre caters to a certain audience. Each song`s requirements change based on a character created by the writer or the director. After a long wait, Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham-starrer Pathaan trailer is finally here. Siddharth Anand-helmed film is a treat for every SRK fan who has been waiting for him to charm us on the silver since 2018. Pathaan is scheduled to release in the theaters on January 25. The trailer begins with a voiceover by Dimple Kapadia explaining a private terror group’s mission against India, spearheaded by John Abraham. To fight him, there is Pathaan, who has to end his ‘vanvaas’.Shah Rukh enters as Pathaan, and we can see lots of action between SRK and John. Deepika is also seen supporting Pathan as a soilder with powerful action scenes. Apart from SRK, Deepika and John we can also see Ashutosh Rana and Dimple Kapadia in pivotal roles. There are speculations that Pathaan also features a cameo by Salman Khan.Pathaan has been creating a lot of noise for good and bad reasons. The film’s song “Besharam Rang” was criticised for its unappealing choreography by the audience and later for the colour of Deepika’s costumes.It reached a level where protests were held in some parts of the country against the film’s release. The Censor Board has guided the movie makers to implement changes in the film including the songs and submit the revised version before theatrical release
