Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 25 dived into the Arabian Sea off the coast of Gujarat to perform an underwater puja in the remains of the ancient submerged city of Lord Krishna’s Dwarka. In the photos shared by the PM on his ‘X’ handle, he can be seen in scuba gear and descending into the azure waters to offer prayers at the site steeped in historical and spiritual significance. Earlier in the day, PM Narendra Modi in Dwarka offered prayers at Beyt Dwarka Temple. After offering prayers at the temple, Prime Minister inaugurated the Sudarshan Setu in Dwarka. It is the longest cable-stayed bridge of the country that has been constructed at the cost of ₹ 979 crore.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday said in Mahabharata, Krishna asked for five villages, but today the Hindu society is only asking for the three centres of their faith 'Ayodhya, Kashi and Mathura. 'Speaking at the Uttar Pradesh Assembly, CM Yogi said the Uttar Pradesh government got the privilege to have facilitated the Ayodhya Deepotsav, which became a national celebration"Ayodhya city was brought within the purview of prohibitions and curfews by the previous governments. For centuries, Ayodhya was cursed with ugly intentions. It faced a planned disdain. Such treatment of public sentiments was perhaps never seen anywhere else. Ayodhya faced injustice," he said. He further mentioned the Krishna Janmabhoomi site in Mathura and the Kashi Vishwanath temple complex in Varanasi are the two other disputed lands that Hindus have been claiming.

Notably, the process of Pran Pratishtha has already started from January 16. On Jan 18, Ram Lalla’s idol was installed in the sanctum sectorum of the grand new temple.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at the revamped Ayodhya Dham Junction on December 30. Accompanied by CM Yogi Adityanath, Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. PM Modi inaugurated the newly revamped Ayodhya Dham Junction Railway Station. He also flagged off new Amrit Bharat trains, and Vande Bharat trains from Ayodhya Dham Junction. The Allahabad High Court approved the survey of the Shahi Idgah Masjid in the Krishna Janmabhoomi case on December 14. Vishnu Shankar Jain, the lawyer for the Hindu side while speaking to ANI said that this is a landmark judgement. He further added that to know the actual position, an advocate commissioner is required. Vishnu Shankar Jain, the lawyer for the Hindu side, said, "Allahabad HC has allowed our application where we had demanded a survey of Shahi Idgah Masjid by the advocate commissioner. The modalities will be decided on December 18. The court has rejected the arguments of Shahi Idgah Masjid. My demand was that in Shahi Idgah Masjid, there are a lot of signs and symbols of the Hindu temple, and to know the actual position, an advocate commissioner is required. It's a landmark judgement by the court."
