Rupee hits fresh all-time low amid trade deal uncertainty, FII outflows

The rupee fell 9 paise to a record low of 90.58 against the US dollar in early trade, pressured by uncertainty over the India-US trade deal and continued foreign fund selling. On Friday, the rupee had slipped 17 paise to close at an all-time low of 90.49 against the American currency

Rupee hit new record low at 90.56 amid weak global cues, FII outflows

The rupee fell 24 paise to a fresh all-time low of 90.56 against the US dollar, pressured by global uncertainty, FII outflows and strong dollar demand from importers. According to forex traders, the rupee is weakening mainly because importers are aggressively buying dollars amid rising global prices of precious metals.
