Actor Pratibha Ranta is gearing up for her role in Kiran Rao's directorial comeback, ‘Laapataa Ladies’, under the prestigious banner of Aamir Khan Productions. Ranta expressed her excitement about the project, stating, "From getting an opportunity to work under Aamir Khan Productions to receiving a good script, everything about this film is positive. As an actor, I thoroughly enjoyed working on it." She also shared insights into what she learned while working with Kiran Rao. "Working with Kiran Ma'am, I learned that today's girls are very capable. We should not think that we can't do something. There are opportunities for everyone; we just need to know how to utilize them," Ranta explained. Sparsh Srivastav said, “Amir Khan called me after watching Jamtara then I auditioned for the film that’s why I got the film. I was born in 2001 and I have never seen this era. I wanted to live this era through audition.”

Filmmaker Kiran Rao, who is set to come out with her new directorial 'Laapataa Ladies', revealed how Aamir Khan was keen on enacting the role essayed by Ravi Kishan and had even auditioned for it. Kiran Rao said, “Aamir loved the character, he auditioned as well. But I felt that since he is a star there will be expectations for the character. Aamir was bringing a star baggage. So, we wanted someone so fit in the role that you cannot make out what happens he does next. Ravi Kishan is amazing, I felt that there cannot be a better 'Manohar' than him.”
