The Western Railway announced a major block on the Kandivali-Borivali section in connection with the construction of the 6th railway line. The ongoing 30-day block began on the night of 20th/21st December, 2025 and will continue until 18th January, 2026

According to an official statement, the BEST will operate special buses on Route No. 271, running between Malad Station West and Erangal village, and between Madh Jetty and Erangal village
