In a major boost to Maharashtra’s infrastructure, CM Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy CMs Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar inaugurated the final 76-km stretch of the Samruddhi Mahamarg today, 5 June. The newly completed section connects Igatpuri to Amane near Bhiwandi, marking the full completion of the 701-km Mumbai–Nagpur expressway. Travel time between the two cities is now just eight hours. On May 18, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis led the ‘Tiranga Yatra’ rally in Nagpur, organised by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to honour the valour and dedication of the Indian Armed Forces and to celebrate the success of Operation Sindoor. The nationwide rally, which began on May 13 and will run until May 23, is being held across several states, including Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Assam (Dibrugarh), Jammu and Kashmir (Srinagar), and Odisha.
