Striker's fifer guides St Mary's ICSE to a 6-1 win over the Borivli outfit in MSSA Div II U-16 quarter-final

Said (15) scored five of those goals: two of them within the first 15 minutes as the Mazagaon outfit romped home in some style. Sanghavi Rushat scored the other goal for Mary’s in the 49th minute. Ameya Kirtikar was on target for the Borivli outfit.
Said praised his teammates for helping him find the target repeatedly. “I scored five goals three years ago in an U-14 MSSA game. But scoring it in the quarter-finals is special. I’m very happy with my performance.
But this wouldn’t have been possible without my teammates’ help. They gave me the ball and helped me score. They deserve credit for the win as much as I do,” Said toldu00a0MiD DAY.
Said, who wants to be famous like his idols Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, missed the whole of last season owing to a muscle tear, and the youngster is relieved that he has been able to return to the football pitch.
“While playing a match in school, I found it difficult to lift my leg. Later, when I went to the doctor he told me that I had a muscle tear on both my thighs. I missed playing football. But now I am glad I scored not one but five goals,” said the Class X student who also represents his school in athletics and basketball.
Said now wants to pass out by winning the Div II title and getting his school promoted to Div I. “I just pray that we give our school a promotion before passing out,” said the Mumbai Central lad.
