u00a0A Dubai-based humanitarian organisation has invited Afridi to raise funds that will be spent on the rehabilitation of flood victims.
Talking to reporters before boarding a flight for Dubai, Afridi expressed hope of raising 10 to 20 million rupees for the affected people.
"I want to help those peoples who are seriously affected by the floods," The Daily Times quoted Afridi, as saying.
"If I get time I will personally visit the affected areas and distribute things among people," he added.
The United Nations (UN) has described the flash floods as a "major catastrophe" that has killed nearly 1600 people.
