"I extend my best wishes to everyone for Diwali," Dhoni said in the media conference after the Eden Gardens outing here.
Dhoni said he would go to Ranchi for a day to spend Diwali with his family. "Now is the time for fireworks," he said.
The Indian team has been given a day's holiday for Diwali.
The players would leave for their home Wednesday morning and return here Thursday evening for the Oct 29 Twenty20 outing against England.
