With the IPL nearing its end, this correspondent sought to know the progress of the investigation of a Mumbai-based Rajasthan Royals player, who was approached during the last Ranji Trophy season.

Thakur replied: "I'm glad that this year's IPL was successful, ratings are high and stadiums full. About Rajasthan Royals players being approached, we must appreciate BCCI's education policy that's working. If someone is approached, he has to report it to the anti-corruption unit. I think this is the thing to highlight and admire."

Thakur did not even come clear on queries about Ravi Shastri being retained as Team Director for the Bangladesh tour or whether Team India's World Cup support staff would be retained for the next assignment.

Thakur also did not confirm if there was any notice issued to the Virat Kohli for breaching the Anti-Corruption and Security Unit (ACSU) protocol by meeting his girlfriend and actor Anushka Sharma during a rain-break in at an IPL match in Bangalore.
