Brendon McCullum gave an insight into the growing confidence in the New Zealand camp after tipping his side to get the better of South Africa in their forthcoming T20 series. The Black Caps, who are ranked second in the world in T20 cricket behind England, face a Proteas side in something of a transitional phase in the three-match series which begins today.

"None of us are 100% on how we're going to go, but we're pretty confident we are ready," McCullum told the New Zealand Herald. "Only time will tell whether we're up to the challenge. They've got a new-look team in the T20, we're ranked above them in that form, so I expect us to win this series."
With Graeme Smith out of the squad, Proteas will have a number of less familiar names on show. The likes of Marchant de Lange, Richard Levi and Rusty Theron are among those looking to establish their place in the side, while Justin Ontong returns for the first time since 2009.
