Mahendra Singh Dhoni rarely fails to amuse. Yesterday, disguised as a journalist, he took a seat with 'his peers' during an open media conference that featured Virender Sehwag and Yuvraj Singh. Suddenly, there were cameramen, who shifted focus from the hard-hitting batting duo behind the microphones, to the Indian captain.

Cheerful: Mahendra Singh Dhoni
Dhoni sat there for a few minutes and listened carefully to his teammates, but could rarely control his laughter.
Suddenly, a senior journo told Dhoni to ask a question or two. Dhoni got up and walked around the chairs, and the cameramen continued to follow him.
Suddenly, he patted this correspondent from the back and conveyed the message with a big laugh -- "Ask them if I am allowed to ask a question, I'll do it if that's what you guys want!" Just then, he turned around, blushed, and walked out of the Magnolia Room at ITC Royal Gardenia. He captured the imagination of all in a flash. In fact, few minutes before the incident when Dhoni entered the room, there were cameramen and journalists who forgot about the open conference and shifted their focus on the Jharkhand batsman.

That's the sort of comforting impact he has had on the fraternity. He always gets their attention.
Just minutes after Dhoni left the room, Sehwag and Yuvraj were asked if they ever felt intimidated or insecure when Dhoni monitors their progress at nets, or chats with them in the dressing room. Sehwag was in his element. "We are senior to Mahi, he is scared of us," the blaster said.
