Former India captain Dilip Vengsarkar yesterday requested the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to organise an additional final of the Indian Premier League to help raising funds for the drought affected people of Maharashtra
“I earnestly request you to arrange for an additional final of the IPL on 28th May to be played either at the Wankhede stadium or DY Patil stadium after the final at Kolkata on May 26 gets over to raise funds. It will go a long way if a substantial amount is raised from the match for this worthy cause,” the former captain wrote.
