England fast bowler Tim Bresnan has been fined 7.5 percent of his match fee for showing dissent during Thursday's one-day international against India in Mohali.

The paceman was charged following an incident at the end of the 18th over when he snatched his cap from on-field umpire Sudhir Asnani, the International Cricket Council (ICC) said in a statement on Friday.

Bresnan pleaded not guilty to the charge and a hearing took place that was attended by the umpires, the player, England coach Andy Flower and team manager Phil Neale, the ICC said.

England are currently trailing 3-0 in the five-match series, with the remaining one-dayers to be played in Mumbai on Sunday and Kolkata on Tuesday.

The tourists will also play a one-off Twenty20 international in Kolkata on October 29.
