Francesc Fabregas said that his son is yet to come to terms with Tuesday's defeat at the hands of Barcelona at the Nou Camp.
The Gunners skipper issued an immediate apology to his teammates for the careless back heel, which set the Spanish champions on their way to a 3-1 win.
Francesc revealed: "I talked to Cesc after the game and he told me he felt so powerless that he just wanted to shoot himself.
"He was looking forward to this match with much enthusiasm. It was such a special game for him because it was against Barcelona in the Nou Camp," The Sun quoted him, as saying.
"But it turned out to be one of the worst days of his life," he added.
