23:u00a0Cook became the first England batsman to make 23 Test centuries when he reached three figures at Eden Gardens in Kolkata during the third Test against India.

27 years, 347 days:u00a0His exact age asu00a0he became the youngest batsman to reach 7,000 Test runs.

5:u00a0Cook has now made centuries in his first five Tests as England captain, including two Tests against Bangladesh as a stand-in in 2010.

29: The number of Test half-centuries he has made, giving him a superb conversion rate of 44 per cent from fifties to hundreds.

547: Number of runs Cook has scored in 5 innings, the highest aggregate by an England captain in a series in India, surpassing Ted Dexter's previous record of 409 runs in 1961.

136.75: His series average with three innings to go.

26 hours and one minute: The time he's spent in the middle as as batsman.

5: The skipper is now one of only five overseas batsmen to score three or more centuries in a series in India - the others are Everton Weekes, Garry Sobers, Ken Barrington and Hashim Amla.

190: It is the second-highest score by a visiting batsman at Eden Gardens. The highest is 256 by West Indian legend Rohan Kanhai in 1958.

1160: The number of balls faced by him. it's the third-highest for an England batsman in a series in India.u00a0

173: His partnership with Jonathan Trott is England's second-best second-wicket stand in India only bettered by the 241-run partnership between Mike Gatting and Graeme Fowler in Chennai in 1985.

2: Cook hit just 2 sixes during his knock. This is the 2nd time that he's hit 2 sixes in a Test innings - the first occasion being against Bangladesh at Chittagong in March 2010 - 173 off 283 balls.
