Formerâu00c2u0080u00c2u0088Supreme Court judge Markandey Katju's latest tweet took everyone for surprise.

"This treatment isn't enough. Aisan na manahin. Lodha shud get BCCI officials tied naked to a pole & given 100 lashes each on their behinds", Katju tweeted yesterday as the war between the Lodha Panel and BCCI escalated.

"I said this in sarcasm. It is a sarcastic tweet. I am not against the BCCI," remarked Katju. To avoid media calls, he had switched off his mobile for a while.

"I have sarcastically said so to criticise the Lodha Panel. People should have understood the sarcasm in my tweet. The committee has gone mad to suggest the freezing of BCCI accounts", he added.

Seventy-year-old Katju was initially hired by the BCCI and his interim report had said, "the Lodha Panel reforms are illegal and unconstitutional." He asked the Indian cricket board to file a review petition.

Katju is known to the BCCI secretary Ajay Shirke and it is believed that he was hired on Shirke behest.

Katju didn't want to predict the outcome of the ongoing tussle between the BCCI and Lodha Panel. "I am not an astrologer. I don't want to speculate anything more on this" he signed off.
