Paolo Guerrero scored a second-half hat-trick as Peru took third place at the Copa America with a 4-1 win over Venezuela yesterday.

Peru's William Chiroque fired home three minutes from the break, before Guerrero ripped Venezuela apart.

Venezuelan midfielder Tomas Rincon's sending off further helped Peru's cause. Juan Arango scored Venezuela's sole goal in the the 78th minute.
