Gambhir replaced Dhawan in the India ‘A’ side and will lead the team in a three-day game against Australia from February 16 in Chennai. He has not scored a century for three years in which he played 26 Tests, averaging 30.20. Gambhir enjoyed a successful 2008-09 series vs Australia at home: Tests 3, Runs 463, Highest 206, Avg 77.17.
