Two of the greatest batsmen in modern times, Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara, caught up at the Feroz Shah Kotla yesterday.
“I remember the series against Australia when Sachin didn’t play a single cover drive till he reached his double century,” Lara, Trinidad & Tobago mentor, said when he was asked about Tendulkar’s best moment.
Tendulkar went on to score 241 at the SCG in 2004. “I don’t think I would have been too successful in T20 as I was a batsman who needed time to settle down,” he admitted.
