u00a0India were 307-5 in their first innings at stumps after winning the toss on the opening day of the first Test against New Zealand in Hyderabad on Thursday.


Cheteshwar Pujara (119 not out) scored his maiden Test century, while Virat Kohli (58) and Virender Sehwag (47) were the other main scorers for India.


Fast bowler Trent Boult bagged two wickets for New Zealand.
