By beating the Maldives, Cameroon reduced the last round-robin game in the Nehru Cup football tournament against India to an exercise in probing and ticking a few boxes before Tuesday's final between the two teams
Both the reigning champions and the highest-ranked team in the tournament will test their bench, giving their top guns a breather in the inconsequential game today.

Cameroon carried India with them into the final with their decisive 3-1 victory over the Maldives on Wednesday.
India’s attacking midfielder Robin Singh feels that the two-time champions have the ability to beat Cameroon in today’s league game.
“It is always 11 vs 11 on the football pitch. We have the belief that we can. I don’t believe in rankings so it does not bother me that they are 59th and we are 168th. It matters what you do on the day. If we play to our potential and give our hundred percent we certainly have a chance,” said the East Bengal striker.
