James Pattinson, who took 4-43 to plot India's downfall yesterday, felt that India's batsmen were forced into making errors as they were never let off the hook by himself, Peter Siddle and Ben Hilfenhaus on Day One of the ongoing Sydney Test.
When asked if it was another case of an India batting no-show, Pattinson gave himself a pat on the back. "I think it was more a case of us bowling so well. If you look at our pitch maps, we never gave them any loose balls," he told reporters.
Pattinson, 21, said that it was tough to intimidate India's experienced batting line-up. But, he was relishing the fact that India's batsmen were being kept on a leash. "I wouldn't say they are intimidated by our presence. I think they are probably intimidated about the way we are bowling at the moment, the areas we are bowling.

We are not giving them any loose balls," he said "At the moment, they probably have got it in their mind 'where are we going to score', because they are not getting any loose balls at the moment.
Intimidation comes with us bowling really well. We have done well to keep them quiet so far. But, they are a quality team. We can't lose focus and must keep putting in the hard yards," Pattinson said.
