Sachin Tendulkar paid rich tributes to former Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jaywant Lele, who passed away at his home in Baroda on Thursday night
Sachin Tendulkar interacted with Lele extensively when he was captain of India over two stints.

He told mid-day.com on Friday afternoon that Lele, "always had wonderful words of encouragement for me and genuinely wished well for me."
Tendulkar is preparing for Indian Premier League champions Mumbai Indians' Champions League September 21 opener against Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur. "He (Lele) was a wonderful person and a well-wisher of mine. I can never forget the interactions we have had over the years. I will miss him," Tendulkar added.
Seventy five-year old Lele suffered a heart attack. He also served the BCCI as Joint Secretary and excelled in attending to the needs of touring teams especially New Zealand whose 1987 World Cup team was grateful for his work as their liaison manager.u00a0
