Delhi star was in no mood to entertain fans yesterday
Kevin Pietersen was the toast of many fans waiting at the team hotel to catch a glimpse of the star England all-rounder. When he arrived in the lobby with his Delhi Daredevils teammates, the eager crowd hoped to take a picture of their superstar. KP didn’t entertain anyone and proceeded towards the team bus. While the Delhi Daredevils had to wait for Mumbai Indians team bus to leave, some fans tried again. However, the English star didn’t seem to be in any mood to pose for pictures and shooed away the fans. Delhi skipper Virender Sehwag had no issues posing for pictures though.

Where is the purple cap, Munaf Patel?
IT’S a known fact that medium-pacer Munaf Patel hates wearing a cap while playing. On any other day it wouldn’t have mattered whether he wore it or not. Yesterday, it was of prime importance as he became the proud owner of the purple cap for taking the most wickets in the fifth edition of the Indian Premier League. In four matches, the India pacer has claimed 10 wickets at an economy rate of 6.34. However, Patel wears a hat in Test cricket.
Entering Wankhede still a nightmare!
Getting inside the Wankhede Stadium is still a nightmare for scribes covering the home games of Mumbai Indians. In spite of being the third game at the Churchgate venue, there is still no clear direction. The Mumbai Cricket Association has told the mediapersons to enter from the Vinoo Mankad Gate, but security officials at the gate didn’t seem to get the message. Yesterday, many scribes were refused entry from Vinoo Mankad Gate.
A scribe was stopped at the Churchgate station itself and asked to go to Gate No 4 (University Pavilion, near Marine Lines station). The journos were allowed only after venue manager Vinod Deshpande intervened. “All security officials and Mumbai police have been clearly informed to let mediapersons from the Vinoo Mankad Gate. I don’t understand who has given them the authority to tell them to go to Gate No 4,” said Deshpande.
